It’s all about the colour!

When planning your perfect event, it’s very easy to get carried away with different options. Keeping your theme consistent is central to delivering a well presented event and this can be easily achieved by starting off with identifying a colour scheme.
We appreciate that it may be easier said than done when selecting your colour scheme for your event. So, instead of picking a random colour out of the hat, we’ve put together a list of suggested colour schemes that have been tried and tested.
Engagements – The initial celebration of the promise to wed is an exciting time for a couple. The colour palette is open to interpretation on this one but we recommend going for a simple and elegant colour theme. Pastel colours are a popular choice, such as baby pink, peach or light blue and are enhanced by classic complimentary colours such as silver and gold.
Garba/Ladies sangeet/Mendhi night – These are colourful Asian pre-wedding events that are filled with lots of fun, laughter, dancing and singing. Our favourite colour schemes include combinations of fuchsia pink, orange, green, yellow and purple. You can drape the venue with fabric, use up-lighting and wedding props to create that authentic look!
English weddings – No matter how extravagant or simple your wedding ceremony is, nothing can beat the classic white/ivory  as a base colour. You can team this up with any colour of your choice which can be a running theme throughout your day.
Asian weddings – It’s no secret that Asian weddings are bright and colourful! Traditional colours including green, maroon and gold represent royalty and are used for many Asian weddings. However, more now than ever before vibrant colours such as pink, yellow and orange are used as main colours.
Wedding receptions – The world is your oyster with receptions. Like engagements, colour schemes can be adaptable. Using a classic base such as white, ivory or black can matched up with more vibrant colours through decor, centrepieces, props and venue lighting. Funky floral arrangements and diamonds are being used a lot more for receptions as well to give that extra sparkle.
