5 things to consider when looking for your UK wedding venue
When it comes to planning your Asian wedding in the UK there any many things to consider.
The first is your guest numbers which will enable you to start looking at wedding venues. You won’t have just one venue to book, you’ll have your pre wedding event venues as well as your wedding and reception venue.
We’ve put together our top 5 things to consider to find your dream wedding venue in the UK.
Space: Think about venues which have a couple of different event space options. Often with Asian weddings you will have several things happening on the big day.
So overcome the events overlapping in the spaces, use different spaces for the breakfast, lunch and drinks reception. This enables you to use the main space for the wedding and reception only.
Restrictions: It’s important when speaking to venues to discuss any restrictions in place such as:
Do they allow external caterers as some venues may only work with preferred teams.
When do they allow your suppliers to access as some may only allow you to enter a couple of hours or less before, which puts your caterer and decor team under a lot of pressure to set up.
Settings: Venues will vary from hotels, manor houses, landmark hotels and so on. It’s important to consider the setting you’d like to create for the specific event. It’s important that the venue works well for the setting, event type, theming etc.
Location: It may be obvious but it’s important to think about the location! You will have family come from near and far, from the UK and abroad. So you want the venue(s) to be accessible for your loved ones.
Budget: As we know on average an Asian wedding will start from the £60/70k as a basic and range upwards from there. So it’s important to detail out your budget from the offset and stick to your budget for each aspect for your day including your venue.
