Over the Christmas holiday we had the pleasure of being apart of a beautiful Pakistani nikkah, at City Hall Cardiff. This venue is stunning and is definitely a perfect choice for Asian weddings and events.
The theme
The bride, Sania, got in touch with us three months before her big day as she was looking for an Asian wedding stylist to bring her vision to life. She knew she wanted her theme to be a traditional deep red with a touch of gold glamour and a floral.
The grand floral wedding stage
We pride ourselves in creating unique designs and concepts for our couples and not churning out the same stage designs for them.  We went through our design process with Sania and her fiancé to create the perfect wedding stage for them.
A wedding stage/backdrop is essentially the focal point for an Asian wedding where the couple would be sat for any ceremonial aspects, as well as have their couple photos taken and with their loved ones too.
So, the bride briefed us with the following wedding stage requirements:

• A large flower wall (this was a must!).
• An injection of deep reds into the flower wall to complement her bridal lengha.
• A draped canopy feature over the luxury sofa set where they would be sat.
• The finishing touch was their super-size initials hanging from the backdrop.
• The props needed to complement their centrepieces.

So, we listened to them – created several concepts – they picked their concept – and then we created our masterpiece.
Centrepieces
With the table décor the couple opted for gold statement trees with crystal drapes on half of the tables and floral displays with peals as the second style. They both worked beautifully in the venue as well as complementing the stage.
Chair styling
We are fans of getting creative with chair styling as the organza sashes and chair covers gets boring and are dated. So, Sania opted for crisp white chair covers with gold metallic luxury chair hoods which transformed her chairs. For the top table we used luxurious large red and gold bridal thrones for the couple – they really created an impact for the head table and definitely were fit for a king and queen!
Mood lighting
To bring an overall look together, mood lighting is essential and especially for evening events. We used nearly 30 uplighters in the venue to create an impact and the perfect atmosphere for the couple’s big day!
